Southgate Ford ends up in a chosen company.
The dealership recently received the President’s Award, one of Ford Motor Co.’s most prestigious awards that recognizes dealers who achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Dealerships become eligible for this award through customer survey responses regarding their sales and service satisfaction.
Eight Ford executives recently visited Southgate Ford, 16501 Fort St., to present the President’s Award, along with other awards, at a gathering of dealership employees.
To get an idea of how coveted this award is, in 2022 there were 341 Ford President’s Award winners, representing about 10% of the Ford dealership population.
Steve Oben, vice president of Southgate Ford, told employees the award exemplifies “the best of the best.”
Company officials said customer satisfaction relates to all aspects of the customer experience, including sales, service, finance, auto parts and essentially ensuring operations run smoothly.
What makes this particularly special for Southgate Ford is that the dealership has won this award 10 times since its inception in 1998, including three times in a row.
Company officials stressed that winning this award is not just about an individual, but is actually an award that is only made possible through the efforts of the entire team. .
Southgate Ford also received a Partners in Quality Award, which recognizes leading dealerships. Only 5% of the country’s 3,100 dealerships receive this award. Southgate Ford has been the recipient of this award 18 times.
