Staff come and go and change roles at the MV Times.

Editors Peter and Barbara Oberfest recently announced a job change for Associate Editor Jamie Kageleiry. Kageleiry will retain a consultant role, working on special projects with the Oberfests, and will continue to edit Bluedot Living Magazine, which publishes four times in 2022.

Editor-in-Chief Connie Berry will assume the role of Publishing Director, managing the content and workflow for all MV Times publications, including Vineyard Visitor and Edible Vineyard, which she will co-edit with Tina Miller.

“We are very happy for Jamie and his Bluedot Living opportunity,” said Peter Oberfest, “and delighted to be working with Connie and her expanded new role. A measure of The Times’ success is the stability our deep bench provides us.”

In other changes, newsroom mainstay Lucas Thors has moved on to Articles and will help Berry edit the Calendar and Community sections of the newspaper, while also playing a role in The Times’s Vineyard Visitor magazine. Thors will continue with some occasional reporting, as well as reporting for the newspaper and various magazines.

To make up for Thors ‘absence in the newsroom, former intern Eunki Seonwoo is now a journalist, getting into some of Thors’ rhythms.

On the business side of the company, Jenna Lambert has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing. Valerie Desire took on the roles of Samantha Church in the classifieds and subscriptions. You will see Valerie’s smiling face behind the front desk of The Times office at 30 Beach Road.
