The Repair Shop is one of those beautifully made BBC programs where people – normally very old people – show up with things from their youth and ask a team of extremely talented craftsmen to bring them back to life.

Sometimes it’s big jobs like massive grandfather clocks that haven’t ticked or chimed in decades, or stereo systems that won’t spin or tune – and sometimes that’s just a old rusty toy that still holds magical memories in the folds of its cracked sound. Painting.
