Arsenal have completed the signing of Brazilian striker Marquinhos from Sao Paulo.
The two teams reached an agreement on a transfer at the end of May.
The North London outfit confirmed on Monday that the 19-year-old has joined Mikel Arteta’s side on a long-term contract.

The 19-year-old is moving to the North London side in a deal worth £3 million.
OBJECTIVE confirmed the transfer fee in May when the Brazil Under-17 international flew to London to put the finishing touches on the deal.
How long is Marquinhos’ contract?

Marquinhos reportedly signed a five-year deal.
Who is the new Marquinhos signed by Arsenal?
Marquinhos has been used primarily as a winger for Sao Paulo, but he can also play as a centre-forward.
He’s comfortable on both wings, but he’s left-footed and his preferred role is wide on the right so he can cut inside on his preferred foot.
He broke into the Sao Paulo senior team at the age of 18 and made his debut against Flamengo last July.

Arsenal technical director Edu has expressed his delight at the young Brazilian’s arrival.
He told the club’s website: “We are delighted to have completed the transfer with Sao Paulo, as Marquinhos was a player we had been watching for a while.

Arsenal’s summer transfer plans
Arsenal are working on several inbound and outbound transfers this summer.
The Gunners are prioritizing signings from Gabriel Jesus of Manchester City and Youri Tielemans from Leicester City, which could cost around £25m ($31m).
